What's a decant?

A decant is a smaller amount of the exact same perfume, hand-poured from a full, genuine bottle into a little spray vial. Same fragrance, a fraction of the price — so you can wear it for a while before deciding whether it's worth a full bottle.

How much is 5, 10, 15 or 20 ml?

One spray is roughly a tenth of a millilitre, so as a rough guide:

  • 5 ml — ~50–70 sprays · a couple of weeks of daily wear · great for testing
  • 10 ml — ~100–140 sprays · about a month · the popular pick
  • 15 ml — ~150–200 sprays · roughly two months
  • 20 ml — ~200–280 sprays · several months of regular wear

Designer, Arabian or niche — what's the difference?

Designer is the big fashion houses you already know, like Dior or Armani. Arabian houses — Lattafa, Armaf, Al Haramain and the like — are rich and long-lasting for the price. Niche means smaller specialist houses known for unusual, distinctive scents. Every one sold here is genuine; the label just tells you which world it comes from.

What does “Eau de Parfum” mean?

It's the strength. Eau de Parfum (EDP) is richer and lasts longer; Eau de Toilette (EDT) is lighter and fresher. Each decant's label tells you which one you're getting.
